Hi,
The app works great on my Samsung Galaxy s2, except that there is no items in a folder if the folder name contains one the the Danish special letters. (æ,Ø,å). Thats my observation.
Any idea to solve it?
Thanks, Jens.
No folder content. Perhaps a language problem!Re: No folder content. Perhaps a language problem! Are you're using FTP or SFTP? Try 'ISO-8859-1' charset in 'Advanced' tab
Re: No folder content. Perhaps a language problem!Thank you for a fast response.
I am using FTPS(Explicit FTP over TLS/SSL). I have a QNAP server where you can either select FTP(standard) or FTP with SSL/TLS (Explicit). I hope the latter option gives me a safer connection. I changed the Charset: to ISO-8859-1(Latin1), but it did'nt work differently. No files in the directory. I then changed the folder name using my pc, and then all files became visible with AndFTP. So it is indeed a Charset issue. I then changed the protocol to FTP with default charset , and it had the same behavior of not displaying the files in the folder. I changed the charset to ISO... and still no files. Any ideas? Re: No folder content. Perhaps a language problem!Could you provide a testing FTP account to support(at)lysesoft(dot)com? So we could to produce/fix the issue?
Re: No folder content. Perhaps a language problem!Hi again.
I have provided access for you. See my mail for details. Thanks. Re: No folder content. Perhaps a language problem!Same problem with regular FileZilla FTP client, there is a "?" on the last folder. Which encoding are you using on your FTP server? I've try both ISO-8859-1 and UTF-8 and it fails.
Re: No folder content. Perhaps a language problem! The Qnap server is set to "English". (Danish was not an option, so I guess this is the default setting).
I changed it to "Western Europe/Latin 1" and with AndFTP set to Latin 1 everything is working OK. So I consider the case for solved. It was indeed a character set problem. Thank you for your help. |
