FTPS Implicit broken

Asus Transformer Prime ICS;
AndFTP Pro 2.9.9.1
2.6.39.4-0003-g2108187 Dalvik 0.9

can connect to Implicit FTP server port 990;
can down load files from server;
Upload fails.

This has just recently started failing.
