Hi all,
I'm not a very techno person so I'll try to make this as clear as possible.
I set up filezilla on my home computer to act as an FTP server. I also installed AndFTP on my HTC Desire HD. When I connect using my IPv4 address at home (over Wifi), everything works fine, I can view all of the my folders and download files from Filezilla. I forwarded ports 21 and 14147, and added exceptions for Filezilla on my router.
I also set up a DNS domain with a different IP address so that I can access my files when I am not at home. Using the Filezilla client, this also works fine and I can see and download my files. However, when I use my phone, I can see all of the files, and I can begin to download them, but after 1 or 2% (7kb or so) the transfer stops and nothing happens, until I press cancel, at which point a box appears saying 'Broken Pipe', and an error message '421 Connection Timed Out'. I actually managed to download a very small file (1kb) so I know it works, its just something wrong with large files.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!
