Stupid problems loggin in

Post by djb-rh »

gee, I feel stupid.

I can log into my NAS device via ftp just fine from my laptop computer, but I cannot log in from my android device using AndFTP. I always get permission denied. I am using the same username and password. To take NDS issues out of the equation, I am using the IP address of the device as the host name.

Is there some setting I am not seeing that is now allowing my hand held to communicate correctly with my server?

Can anyone give me some help on what I am missing?

Are you using an initial folder? Maybe you need one and you don't have permission on default one.

I've tried with and without initial folder. I've tried 2 different usernames. They work fine from a command prompt on the computer, but from the android device, cant' get any successful login. Always says "incorrect login".
