Not showing hidden files

Post by spacebug »

I'm using "AndFTP 2.9.1" on "HTC Desire S" and connecting to my ProFTPD using Explicit SSL.

I get the directory listing but I do not see any hidden files/folders on the FTPD. (Yes I have some).
I can also not create a folder with a name starting with a dot (.)

When switching to device browser inside AndFTP I do see hidden files folders. (On my phone).

When using any other ftp client I do see the hidden files/folders so the problem does not seem to be on the FTPD.

Yes I have checked "Hidden files [X] Show (starting with .)"

I have tried to uncheck that and login agin and so on. I have refreshed the dir listing some times. Same problem, I do not see hidden files on the FTPD.

Bug, or am I missing something?

Best regards, Stefan.

Could you provide a testing FTP account to support(at)lysesoft(dot)com?

Thanks for the testing account. We're able to reproduce the problem in AndFTP. Hidden files are not returned by your FTP server when client is issuing a "LIST" command. As you server supports MLST/MLSD commands, the client should issue a MLSD command instead of LIST (FileZilla does this).

However, MLSD is not supported yet in AndFTP. We've added to to wish list so please keep this testing FTP account so we could try if it works.
