Andftp uploading issue

Post by Shooter »

I like to use this app to upload videos to our site. Since the last droid update I can't up load videos or pics by just using the share application option and choosing andftp. But I can up load videos if I just go through the folder option in the andftp software. Any help would be great.

Do you have any error? or does the AndFTP item not appear in Share menu?

I have the same issue. I'm on Android 2.3. Is there any solution so far?

Could you try to setup and initial remote folder int AndFTP configuration such as / or /pics?

I have the same problem; SE Ray/Android 2.3.3.

Setup is SCP with remote dir.
When sharing a file from my gallery through AndFTP, the file is uploading fine, but returns 'Upload failed: Transfer failed'. The result is a file of 0 byte at my server.

Works fine from inside the AndFTP, but that wasn't really what I bought the application for.
Another thing I have found, is that when trying to upload from gallery, the 0 byte-file is called *.jpeg, while uploading from AndFTP, it is keeping its correct name; *.jpg . Don't know if that has something to say.

Extension is an option in "General" tab of Menu->Options (Append ... share/gallery) checkbox.

yet another issue when using scp and uploading a picture from the gallery. I was able to uplad a file by making it very small (see my previous post).

E.g. I do an upload for a picture called IMG_20131219_012923.JPG (on the phone it's called exactly like that, the file extension is in upper case letters).

on the remote machine after the upload is done successfully I get 2 files instead of one:

Code: Select all

ls -l
-rw-r--r-- 1 photos photos 26K Dec 19 01:38 IMG_20131219_012923.jpg.1387413492291
-rw-r--r-- 1 photos photos 0 Dec 19 01:39 IMG_20131219_012923.jpg
I thought maybe the file extension setting (in the main settings of andftp) is the mistake and unchecked it in andftp settings. there's a slight change, now I get a capital file extension like in the original file name, but still i get 2 files if I'm uploading one - one of them not ending in JPG or jpg but in a random number:

Code: Select all

-rw-r--r-- 1 photos photos 26K Dec 19 01:40 IMG_20131219_012923.JPG.1387413621961
-rw-r--r-- 1 photos photos 0 Dec 19 01:41 IMG_20131219_012923.JPG
I'm on android 4.2.1, google nexus.
The server is running ubuntu 12.04 openssh
