Rename smb shares

Hello,
One feature that's driving me bat-shit crazy & can't figure out, is how to rename an existing share. I've spent more time "searching" for this than making shares. It seems like this was deliberately hidden or excluded. Obviously RFC 1918 address don't work unless wifi is connected, it's EASY to forget to include WIFI or INTERNET in the share name.
Am I just missing something? If the answer is "recreate" the share it isn't a valid answer. One should have the freedom to change naming schemes without a billion clicks (I have lots of shares).
