I used to use Linda File Manager and would like to switch completely to AndExplorer, but AndExplorer is missing one feature that I use on a regular basis: installing .apk files. Linda somehow associates .apk files with the package installer so it gets installed on the system. However, if you allow package installation, you'll also need a way to allow package uninstallation - when installed directly, the software does not show up under the Market.

Ok, we're going to investigate this feature.

We've added APK install support. For uninstall why don't you using the Application Manager available in Settings? It allows to remove any application without pain.
