Feature suggestion (for anonymous logins)

Postby irascible » Wed Mar 21, 2012 1:16 pm

I'm a new AndFTP user. I was trying to connect to an FTP server using anonymous login (no ID or password). To me, it made sense to leave the ID and password boxes blank when trying to connect... But no. That results in login failure. So I had to enter an ID to log in to the server. This is a polite suggestion, therefore, to have an "anonymous login" option so no confusing login prompt appears at all in these cases. Thank you.

I'm not sure FTP server would accept empty username. I always need to pass something even in FileZilla.

The server would actually be sent "anonymous" as the user ID. The suggestion was to have this done automatically if a check box titled "Anonymous login" was selected.
