Problem with SCP when special letters are used.

Hey,

I'm having problems transfering files that have åäöÅÄÖ (HTML-codes: å ä ö Å Ä Ö) especially if there is a space in the filename also.

I get the message.
File /srv/share/åäö.txt: file or folder does not exist.

I havn't tried it on FTP or SFTP, but get the problem on SCP.
My server uses Debian with UFT-8.
My phone is HTC Desire HD.

/AlieX

Could you try to select UTF8 charset in advanced tab?

I'll try, but I can see the characters without problem, just not transfer them. I'll get back to you in a bit./AlieX

I changed the charset for that connection to UTF-8. But I still get the message:

"Download failed: java.io.IOException: scp: <filepath>/<filename>: No such file or directory"

Could you provide a testing SCP account so we could try to reproduce (and fix) the problem from here? If yes, then send info to support(at)lysesoft(dot)com
