Can I have help with this, I really want this to work.

I'm have root access to all...so if I need to edit any files, just lemme know what.

I'm using an active FTP connection.

Linux server / ProFTP

I'm able to login fine, but always get the

425 unable to build data connection

error.

If I try passive mode , I get "operation timed out" every time.

My server's always been setup as Active mode for FTP. Maybe I should try to set it up as Passive... ? Is it difficult ? I dunno which files to edit.

What IP is available for PASV (passive mode)? It must be external address and not internal such as 10.0.xx.xx or 192.168.xx.xx
