Thanks. I'm using Filezilla and will try what you have recommended.

Just to clarify, i would put

ftp://ip address

into the hostname field correct?

O.K, here's the update.

I tried to use just the ip address but now i'm getting a different display message when I attempt a connection.
Java.net.ConnectException: (ip address)/(ip address):21 - Connection refused
Able to shed any light on this?

I'd also like to mention that i was successfully able to make a connection with the vice versa method. Using SwiFTP as the server on my phone and FileZilla as the client on my PC. Everything is fine when i do it that way. Therefore, is there anything that I can take from this set up method that will help towards a successful connection with AndFTP & the FileZilla server?

User names, Passwords, listening ports etc etc?

thanks again for your continuous help.

EDIT: I also managed to easily connect to my phone via SwiFTP. So both the "Device file browser" and the "FTP file browser" displayed the same content. Seems to be the only thing i'm having issues with is the seeing my PC through my phone.

"Connection refused" is better. Do you have a firewall on your PC? Maybe the network port 21 is blocked. Try to disable temporary the firewall let us know. You're not far from the solution.

Also, why not looking at the following screenshots for FTP server configuration:

Or post here a screenshot of yours.

I tried turning off my firewall and i get the same message. Working on some screenshots at the moment. What info should be edited out? ip address? etc.

Also, if it is a firewall matter, would that not mean that a connection between the PC client and Phone server would fail to establish? I ask because, as previously mentioned, I was able to connect to my phone via the FileZilla client on my pc. I even uploaded a file to my phone just for confirmation.

Latly, When entering the User/password info in to the AndFTP setup, am i supposed to use the same User/Password info that i used to create a User account on the PC's server?

Screens to follow....

These first 2 are server settings on my PC's Filezilla server

This is a set up screen of AndFTP. My phone is not rooted so I can not take actual screenshots.
