215 UNIX Type: L8 PASV error

captivate Andftp worked fine. On the Note it stops at 215 UNIX Type: L8 then next line PASV. Then just hangs there. if I use WIFI everything works just fine. I can use the phone to tether the laptop & it will work on the laptop!
