how to enter path to cd into?

How can I enter a path for andftp to cd into? On servers that have automounted paths or hidden directories, I cannot figure out how to get andftp to cd into a directory it cannot see in the browser. Is there any way to do this?

With AndFTP Pro:
When browsing remote folder -> Menu -> Custom command -> Execute your command

So I just bought the Pro version for this, and when I menu -> more, the "custom" option is disabled. How do I enable it?

Are you using FTP, SFTP or SCP?

SFTP

Scp does not work at all, because it tries to do 'ls -la" which is not a recognized command. Then it looks like it tries to do "date"? If it is, that would cause it to hang waiting for user input. If it wants the current date, then it needs "date /t".

I can't use FTP because it's not encrypted.

FTPS explicit/implicit are not supported by the server.
