In AndFTP v6.0 on Android 12 (Samsung), there is no "external" available within the "Advanced" tab. I have toyed with it, and continually get the following:

pemPrivateKey argument is null
keyfile not found file:///<external local directory/id_rsa

I renamed the file to key.mkv and it was browseable in the "specify key dialog", but resulted in:

Authentication Failed

I have the local dir for the connection and in general set to an "external" location `sFTP` with the key in it, but have no idea how to specify that file explicitly.

We're working on AndFTP 6.1 to add "External" selection for private key. In the meantime, you can have your private key under either Documents/ for Downloads/ renamed with .png extension. Then it will be visible when you browse internal storage.

AndFTP 6.1 is ready and you can select private with "External" button now:
