Multiple different private keys report "invalid private key"

Hi. I've purchased the pro version of andFTP.
I've used connectbot to make an RSA key pair. When putting that private key file into andFTP and try to connect, it constantly reads: "invalid private key". It will then continue to ask for my password and login for my SFTP server.
Both my netbook, android phone running connectbot, and other SSH apps log in just fine with those very same keys, but andFTP does not.
I need to know what I can do to make andFTP work with my SFTP server. All ports and addresses are correct.
