Can I set a timeout value for the AndFTP client ?

Hi,
When I try to download a file more than 50M via GPRS , which sometimes is at a percent for more than 7 hours. It shows some NOOP commands at the bottom of the screen after the downloading screen is canceled.
Can I give a timeout to the client before starting a new downloading? Or how to avoid the problem?
