Connect to FTP server in LAN hangs

Post by vlad.tsepesh »

Hi all,
I'm trying to access to the ftp server on my media center exposed only on LAN, i.e. on 192.168.1.xxx ip adress.
All the information supplied to the Andftp client is good, I mean I can access via Filezilla client from my PC with the same credentials, but when I try log in the application hangs and nothing happened.

My Android device is a Samsung Galaxy Note.

Did you try both Active and Passive mode?

Yes both.
But finally I got Andftp working.
What I found out is very strange, it seems is not possible update the ip address of the host; suppose the ip address is 192.168.1.100 you save with label '192.168.1.100', due to dynamic hosting the IP address can vary to something else.
Modifying the configuration of the account nothing happened, the only way is to delete the old configuration and create a new one.

Can you confirm this behavior or do I miss something?
In any case keep up the good work.

Deleting and recreating configuration has no impact. The problem might be somewhere else.

The problem is in the process of updating a configuration. It seems the IP address remains the first.
