I have set up AndFTP exactly the same on my Desire and my Tab (been using it on the Desire for a LONG time).
When I try to connect to a site (LAN or internet) I get an error flash up at the bottom of the screen. I think it's to do with Java (it's 3 letters and starts with JV). I am at work now with the tab at home so cannot get the exact error

Any ideas? (tried uninstalling)

We would need more details about the error. We've tried Galaxy Tab emulator and it was working fine.

I have an error on my galaxy tab : i can upload but ont download : I get java.io.IOExceptions error " stream is closed"

Did you select an existing folder on local device before downloading?
