I cant download with your app
I have no problem listing directory contents
no problem creating folder and uploading
but every time I download I get the following error:
Download Failed: java.io.FileNotFoundExcetpion:
/sdcard/Downloads/filename ()

any suggestions?

It seems to be a problem of write permission. Did you create Downloads/ folder with AndFTP file manager ? Could you try to create another folder in /sdcard/ folder and try to download into.

Also, it could be be /sdcard/Downloads/ doesn't exist, can you see it with AndFTP file manager ? Check the case.

I have got a similar problem.

When I try to create a folder "sdcard" (of course without quotes) with AndFTP in the root directory on my local device an error message pops up:
Cannot create folder: sdcard

The contents of the root directory starts with:
/cache
/data
/device
...

Any proposals?

You cannot create folders in the Android root nor in cache or in lib because they are system folders. You can only create folder in the sdcard folder. sdcard must be available to do so. Do you have a sdcard ?

Yes, of course. A 2GB micro-SD card. My problem is obviously how to address the SD card ...

I am a little confused now. After shutting down the G1, removing and re-inserting the micro SD card and starting the G1 again, the folder /sdcard is visible now.

Download works fine now ...
