java out of memory error

java out of memory error

i get Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError when i try to upload any large files. 3.6 MB file worked, 15MB file and above gave the error.

I have 70MB free on the device and 1GB free on the sdhc card where the file resides

the device is a Nokia E71 , btw.
